you know you've been in england for too long when..
- you always carry an umbrella with you.
- you put capitals at the begining of days' names (Monday, Tuesday...)
- you put the post code below the city.
- you're not surprised anymore to see 16 years-old girls with babies.
- you know what a wag is and can name 2.
- you have your lunch at 12 and dinner at 7.30.
- you can recognise the theme tune to "eastenders".
- you call rubber gumboots, "wellingtons".
- you say "cheers" instead of "thank you".
you know you're an au pair when...
- you always introduce yourself with : "hi! my name is (your name), i'm from (country) and i have (amount of children you are taking care of) children!".
- the worst thing is when the dad (or mum) is working from home.
- you drive over 30 minutes to a friend and you think it's not that far.
- you only have other au pairs as your friends.
- you cherish moments of silence more than ever before.
- you notice yourself saying "good job" a hundred times a day.
- you're sure you don't want own kids within the next 100 years.
- you've learned what it means to be patient.
- you think £150 every weekend just for shopping and coffee aren't that much.
